Anotace, referát	In the present invention there is disclosed an endothelin sulfonamide antagonist of the general formula I, in which R represents naphthyl or biphenyl being substituted with alkyl containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms or with the group NRe7Re8, Re4, Re5 and Re12 represent alkyl containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a halogen, Re6 represents alkyl containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, alkenyl having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, alkynyl with 2 to 10 carbon atoms, alkoxy containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl containing 3 to 8 carbon atoms, cycloalkenyl having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, cycloalkenylalkyl with 3 to 8 carbon atoms, naphthyl and biphenyl, whereby each of the above indicated groups can be optionally substituted, Re7 represents (a) a hydrogen atom, (b) alkyl containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, alkenyl having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, alkynyl with 2 to 10 carbon atoms, alkoxy containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl containing 3 to 8 carbon atoms, cycloalkenyl having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, cycloalkenylalkyl with 3 to 8 carbon atoms, naphthyl and biphenyl, whereby each of the above indicated groups can be optionally substituted, (c) CN, (d) OH, (e) -C(O)H or -C(O)Re6, (f) -COi2Re6 or (g) -SH, -S(O)in.Re6, -S(O)im-ORe6, -O-S(O)im-Re6 or -O-S(O)im-ORe6 provided Ze4 does not represent the group -S(O)in, Re8 represents (a) a hydrogen atom, (b) -C(O)H, -C(O)Re6, with the exception when Ze4 represents -C(O) and Re7 represents the group C(O)H, -C(O)Re6 or -COi2Re6 or (c) alkyl containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, alkenyl having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, alkynyl with 2 to 10 carbon atoms, alkoxy containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl containing 3 to 8 carbon atoms, cycloalkenyl having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, cycloalkenylalkyl with 3 to 8 carbon atoms, naphthyl and biphenyl, whereby each of the above indicated... eng
