Anotace, referát	In an improved method for accessing files in a computer system, file open requests are intercepted at the level of the operating system. The identity of the file to be opened is extracted from the request and a determination is made as to whether the identity of the requested file should be replaced with the identity of a substitute file to be opened instead of the requested file. If it is determined that the identity should be so replaced, the file open request is amended by substituting the identity of the substitute file for the identity of the requested file, and the request is passed on to its original destination for execution. A computer system for making the above described method includes: means (20) for intercepting a file open request identifying by at least a name a first file to be opened and being connected with means (22) for determining whether the name of the first file should be replaced with the name of a substitute file to be opened and, if it is determined that the name should be so replaced, amending the request, before passing the request to the operating system, to replace the name of the first file therein with the name of the substitute file, and means (26) for passing the request to the operating system to open the first file if it is determined that the name of the first file should not be replaced, or to open the substitute file if it is determined that the name of the first file should be replaced. In a computer system, apparatus for limiting the number of copies of a file in use comprises mutually interconnected means (20) for intercepting a file open request, means (22) for selection of identity of the first file, means (24) for checking whether maximum number of copies in use has been reached and means (26) for passing the amended file open... eng
Anotace, referát	Při způsobu přístupu k souborům v počítačovém systému, kdy jsou žádosti o otevření souboru zadrženy na úrovni operačního systému je ze žádosti vyjmuta identita souboru, který má být otevřen a určí se, zda měla být nahrazena identitou substitučního souboru, který bude otevřen místo požadovaného souboru. Je-li tak určeno, je žádost o otevření souboru doplněna o náhradu identity substitučního souboru za identitu požadovaného souboru a žádost je předána na své původní místo určení k provedení. Počítačový systém k tomu obsahuje prostředky (20) pro zadržení žádosti s označením prvního souboru jenž má být otevřen, napojené na prostředky (22) pro určení provedení náhrady identity souboru, napojené na prostředky (24) pro doplnění žádosti identitou prvního souboru, napojené na prostředky (26) pro předání doplnění žádosti operačnímu systému. Při způsobu omezení počtu používaných kopií v počítačovém systému se podle identity prvního souboru k otevření kontroluje dosažení maximálního počtu kopií prvního souboru a v kladném případě se vytvoří doplněná žádost o otevření souboru. Zařízení k provádění takového způsobu má na sebe napojené prostředek (20) pro zadržení žádosti o otevření prvního souboru, prostředek (22) pro výběr identity prvního souboru, prostředek (24) pro zjištění dosažení maximálního počtu užívaných kopií a prostředek (26) k předání doplněné žádosti do operačního systému. cze
