Anotace, referát	Detekční systém obsahuje světelný zdroj (13, 14, 15) pro emitování viditelného světla k osvětlení číslicového prstence (5) a prstence (6) přihrádek rulety, snímač (16) pro zachycení emitovaného světla, které se odrazilo od hrací kuličky, číslicového prstence (5) a prstence (6) přihrádek rulety, a ústrojí pro analyzování těchto odrazů a určení polohy otočného kotouče (4) a umístění hrací kuličky vzhledem k otočnému kotouči (4). Detekční systém obsahuje světelný zdroj (13, 14, 15), vyzařující světlo alespoň jedné specifické vlnové délky pro modulování, snímač (16), detekující světlo s alespoň jednou modulovanou vlnovou délkou, přičemž tato nejméně jedna vlnová délka je dána závislostí relativních chrominancí mezi číslicovým prstencem (5), prstencem (6) přihrádek a hrací kuličkou. Při způsobu zjišťování polohy hrací kuličky na ruletě pomocí tohoto detekčního systému se osvětlí číslicový prstenec světlem dvou od sebe oddálených světelných zdrojů, osvětlí se prstenec přihrádek osvětlovacím světlem ke zjištění přítomnosti kuličky, snímají se odrazy osvětlovacího světla od číslicového prstence, prstence s přihrádkami a od kuličky a analyzují se pro určení úhlové polohy kotouče v ruletě a polohy kuličky vzhledem ke kotouči. Osvětlovací světlo obsahuje alespoň jednu vlnovou délku, přičemž tato vlnová délka nebo délky se předem určí podle relativní chrominance osvětlených prvků, zahrnujících číslicový prstenec, prstenec přihrádek a hrací kuličku. cze

Anotace, referát	In the present invention, there is disclosed a detection system for detecting the position of a ball in a moving roulette wheel, wherein the detection system comprises a light source (13, 14, and 15) to emit visible light to illuminate a numbers ring (5) and a roulette pocket ring (6). A sensor (16) is provided to receive reflections by the ball, said numbers ring (5) and said roulette pocket ring (6) of said emitted light. The reflections are analyzed by appropriate means to determine the position of the roulette wheel (4) and the location of the ball in relation thereto. The detection system comprises a light source (13, 14, 15) emitting light of specific wavelengths that can be modulated, a sensor (16) detecting the light with at least one modulated wavelength, whereby said at least one modulated wavelength is predetermined dependent on the relative chrominance of the numbers ring (5), said pockets ring (6) and the ball. Disclosed is also a method of detecting the position of a ball on a roulette wheel using the above-described detection system wherein the method comprises the steps of: illuminating a numbers ring (5) with light from two spatially displaced light sources; illuminating a ring of pockets with light to detect the presence of a ball; sensing reflections of said illuminating light by the numbers ring (5), the ring of pockets (6) and the ball; and analyzing the reflections to determine the angular position of a cylinder within the roulette wheel and the location of the ball relative thereto, whereby the invention is characterized in that the illuminating light comprises at least one wavelength and said wavelength or wavelength are predetermined dependent on the relative chrominance of the illuminated elements comprising the numbers ring (5), said pockets ring... eng
