Anotace, referát	In the present invention, there is disclosed a method for typing a hepatitis C virus comprising the steps of: a) providing a biological sample; b) contacting the sample with a first reagent comprising at least one epitope selected from the group consisting of a first type specific epitope specific for a first type of hepatitis C virus and a first type-cluster specific epitope specific for a first type cluster of hepatitis C virus under conditions which allow the formation of a first epitope-antibody complex; and (c) assaying for the presence of a first epitope-antibody complex in the sample wherein the method further comprises the steps of: (d) contacting the sample with a second reagent comprising a second epitope selected from the group consisting of a second type specific epitope specific for a second type of hepatitis C virus and a second type cluster specific epitope specific for a second type cluster of hepatitis C virus under conditions which allow the formation of a second epitope-antibody complex; and (e) assaying for the presence of a second epitope-antibody complex in the sample. Disclosed is also a polypeptide for use in the method and having an amino acid residue sequence corresponding to a type specific epitope or type cluster specific epitope of hepatitis C virus wherein the first epitope is located between amino acid residues 67 and 84, 1689 and 1718, or 2281 and 2313 of hepatitis C virus or homologous regions of other hepatitis C virus types. Claimed is also a composition for use in the method, said composition comprising a recombinant polynucleotide molecule having nucleotide sequence encoded by a hepatitis C virus genome corresponding to an amino acid residue sequence of a type specific epitope or type cluster specific epitope obtained from a hepatitis... eng
Anotace, referát	Způsob klasifikace jednoho nebo více typů hepatitis C viru, zahrnuje stupně: - poskytnutí biologického vzorku od jedince; - kontakt vzorku s prvním reagentem, obsahujícím kombinaci typově specifických epitopů hepatitis C viru, alespoň jeden epitop v kombinaci je z nestrukturálního regionu 4 hepatitis C viru; - vyhodnocení na přítomnost komplexů epitop-protilátka ve vzorku, pro zjištění, zda se protilátka ve vzorku váže s prvním reagentem. Polypeptid pro použití ve způsobu, mající aminokyselinovou sekvenci odpovídající alespoň jednomu typově specifickému epitopu hepatitis C viru, kdy epitop je umístěn mezi aminokyselinovými zbytky 67 a 84, 1689 a 1718, nebo 2281 a 2313 hepatitis C viru-1 nebo homologními regiony jiných typů hepatitis C viru. Kompozice pro použití při způsobu obsahuje rekombinantní polynukleotidovou molekulu kódující panel typově specifických epitopů hepatitis C viru, kdy epitopy jsou zvoleny z regionu jádra hepatitis C viru, nestrukturálního regionu 4 (NS4), nebo nestrukturálního regionu 5 (NS5). cze
